Duschers unite for victory: Three brothers play together for first time as Werrimull trounce Nangiloc

IT was triple trouble, Duscher style, for Werrimull on Saturday. Brothers Ben, Mark and Brad Duscher combined for the first time for the Pies as the ladder leaders had a massive 94-point victory over their Nangiloc opponents, 25.18 (168) to 10.14 (74).
It was a welcome return to Sunraysia for Ben, co-captain of VFL side Bendigo Gold.

The 24-year-old has been a star for his side for the past three seasons, coming home to play with the Gold having a bye this weekend.

Ben booted three goals and racked up over 40 disposals in a whirlwind midfield performance, while Mark was a star up forward with eight majors.

Coach Ryan Tierney was extremely happy to have Ben for the match.

“It’s a luxury we don’t have every week, we were very lucky to have Ben in the side,” he said.

“He played very well, we can see why he is the Bendigo co-captain.”

Having Duscher was just another thing that went right for the undefeated Pies, enjoying a fruitful start to the season which sees them two matches clear on top of the ladder.
